Excerpts from student writing can be found below. Most of our students are learning disabled in the area of written expression and require not only extended time but need significant 1:1 help,( sometimes in the form of the teacher or assistant scribing as they dictate their ideas), to convey their thoughts in writing.

Testimonials from Achievers' Students

Achievers' school is a great place to learn. My favorite class is Ms. M’s because I love her and we get to write in our journals. I love this school. I hope we have more kids next year. At lunch we talk about girl stuff and what we did last night and what we are going to do. All my teachers are special to me. (Kim – age 16 )

I think Achievers' is the best school that I have ever been to. It has helped me a lot since I first came here. I have a lot of nice friends in this school. The work here is at just the right level for everyone. The teachers are very helpful. This school offers the best for its students. I hope Achievers'' continues to grow. (Tim – age 15)

Kevin is a good friend that is very helpful and when I need it, he gives me guidance. I will miss him when he leaves but I know I will see him again. I know it will be the same thing when he dies. God gives and God takes and I know I will see him again. (Tim – age 15)

What I like about the Achievers' school is that there are friendly faces everywhere you look and you can look to God. Wherever you look, the teachers will help you and I’ve had several amazing accomplishments this year. I have reached my goal of getting past where I was in 5th grade. I’ve gone through 3 schools and I think this one is the best (!!!) school I’ve ever been to in my life. (Grant – age 12)

This school is great. Everyone cares about me and loves me. They help me get through my anger and sadness. They never have judged me for who I am. I finally found some teachers that I can trust with my whole heart. (Priscilla – age 17)

I have grown in faith and strength at Achievers' school. God has given me friends and hope. I pray to God for guidance when I am afraid or if I think all hope has failed. God and my friends are there to help me and I try to help others as they help me. If it was not for this school, all of this wouldn’t have been possible. (Kevin – age 16)
