About the Achievers' Center for Education

Mission Statement

Our mission at Achievers' school is to educate a diverse group of secondary–aged students with special learning challenges, who together with Christ, will learn to live effectively in God’s world.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe in God our Creator and Father, in Jesus Christ our Savior, and in the Holy Spirit, our Guide and Guard (I John 5:4-6).
  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative and infallible Word of God (II Timothy 3:16).
  • We believe Jesus was fully divine and fully human, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, His miracles, His sacrificial and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, His personal return in power and glory (I Corinthians 15:3; I Peter 2:21-30; John 3:16).
  • We believe in the guidance of the Holy Spirit to bring us into a right relationship with God, often called"new birth" or "conversion" and the new relationship with god is called "salvation". It marks a new beginning, and is part of an onging process. We believe that only by God’s grace and through faith alone we are saved (John 3:3-5: Ephesians 2:8-9).
  • We believe that the church is a local assembly of believers, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the discipline of the Word of God. It functions through the realization of authentic discipleship in the daily lives of believers. We believe we are to make disciples of Christ and, together in ministry for Him, advance the Kingdom of God (I Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:11-16).
  • We believe the Holy Spirit indewells in all believers the powers and gifts of the Spirit to be used for building up the Church (John 14:16; Acts 1:5-8; I Corinthians 12-14; Galatians 5:22).
  • We affirm our belief in the priceless worth of each individual. We are called to be faithful to the example of Jesus’ ministry to all persons, including those people with any disabilities (Matthew 17:14-21; John 9:1-34; Luke 18:15-17).
  • We believe in the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The unsaved will be judged by God and separated from Him forever. The saved will live forever in Heaven in fellowship with God (Romans 3:21-30; Galatians 4:4-7; John 5:28-29).
  • We acknowledge our complete dependence upon God in birth, in life, in death, and in life eternal (Romans 3:21-30; Galatians 4:4-7).

    Philosophy

Achievers' school believes that students learn best in a positive, supportive instructional environment. Learning continues when curriculum is presented in the students’ best modality. We welcome students of all beliefs and through daily prayer, devotions, bible verse exercises, and chapel, students grow to know the life resources available through faith in God and the Bible. It is a desire that each student knows the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

  • A loving and caring Christian environment is provided where individual personalities can develop and where students develop an appreciation of their personal worth to God.
  • Students are prepared to be successful as measured by God’s standards instead of worldly standards.
  • Attention is given to the intellectual, emotional, social, physical, religious, and moral development of each student.
  • The teaching process is designed for children who exhibit a variety of learning styles, learn at a different pace, who are two or more years below grade level in any academic area. Intent, frequency, and duration of instruction impact student learning.
  • Our school motivates students to master the tools of learning and communication, while inspiring them to be continuous learners throughout their lives.
  • Parents, our school, and our community are educational partners who provide role models to help students become productive citizens and life-long learners.
  • Students will be provided opportunities for developing skills necessary to be integrated into the community and workforce.
  • Students will recognize the importance of community service by being God’s hands and participating in community outreach projects now and the future.
