Through the Skills for Success program, our students have had the opportunity to work with some of San Antonio’s finest businesses. This program gives students a structured environment to acquire working and independent living skills.

Training begins in the Skills for Success Vocational Prep and Skills for Success I classes. These courses help students learn pre-vocational skills through hands-on work projects. Field trips help promote career awareness.

Skills are further developed in the Skills for Success II and III classes. These courses allow high school students to experience learning in a variety of on and off-site work settings. Project Discovery curriculum is used to introduce students to specific work information and hands-on experience they need to be successful in the workplace. A job coach accompanies students to work sites to provide guidance and feedback.
